meXBT was a digital currency exchange headquartered in Mexico City, focused on the Latin American market. Launched to facilitate the trading of Bitcoin (BTC) against the Mexican Peso (MXN), it aimed to provide a simple and secure gateway for users to enter the cryptocurrency space. In September 2015, its larger competitor, Bitso, acquired meXBT's user base. Following the acquisition, the meXBT platform eventually ceased all operations, with numerous public reports from users in 2017-2018 indicating the site became inaccessible and funds were lost.
