Founded in 2009 as Ruma and rebranded to Mapan in 2015, the company is a social-impact fintech firm based in Indonesia. Its core service, "Arisan Mapan," digitizes the traditional Indonesian social gathering for rotating savings ("Arisan"), allowing groups of people to pool money to purchase goods like home appliances and electronics that might otherwise be unaffordable.
