Malvern Federal Bancorp, Inc. operated as the holding company for Malvern Bank, National Association. Originally founded in 1887 as a federal savings association, it served individuals and businesses primarily in Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties in Pennsylvania, and in Morristown, New Jersey. The bank focused on providing personalized community banking services, including a range of deposit products, residential and commercial mortgage loans, and commercial business loans. The company also had a private banking and wealth management division. On November 30, 2020, Malvern Federal Bancorp, Inc. was acquired by and merged into First Bank (headquartered in Hamilton, NJ).
