Maiden Reinsurance North America, Inc. ("MRNA") was a U.S.-based reinsurance company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Maiden Holdings, Ltd., a Bermuda-based holding company. MRNA focused on providing property and casualty treaty and facultative reinsurance solutions to small to mid-size regional and specialty insurance companies primarily in the United States. In August 2018, its parent company, Maiden Holdings, Ltd., announced a definitive agreement to sell MRNA to Transatlantic Reinsurance Company (TransRe). The sale was part of a strategic shift by Maiden Holdings to focus on its international reinsurance business and other ventures. Since the acquisition, MRNA's operations have been integrated into TransRe, and it no longer operates as an independent entity.
