Founded in 2006, Madura Micro Finance Ltd. (MMFL) was a microfinance institution dedicated to providing financial services to economically disadvantaged women in rural and semi-urban areas of India. Its mission was to empower these women and their families by offering micro-loans for income-generating activities, fostering financial inclusion and entrepreneurship. The company operated primarily in Tamil Nadu and surrounding states. In March 2020, Madura Micro Finance Ltd. was acquired by and subsequently merged with CreditAccess Grameen Ltd., another leading microfinance institution, creating one of the largest microfinance entities in India. The combined entity continues the mission of serving the unbanked and underbanked population.
