Originally an independent financial institution, Macklin Credit Union served the community of Macklin, Saskatchewan, and the surrounding area. It operated on the cooperative principle of being member-owned and focused on local community needs. On January 1, 2022, Macklin Credit Union officially amalgamated with Synergy Credit Union Ltd. This merger was intended to provide members with access to a wider range of products, services, and digital banking technologies while maintaining a local branch presence. The former Macklin Credit Union now operates as a Synergy Credit Union branch, continuing its mission of providing financial services under the new parent brand.
