Lumley was a long-established insurance underwriter with significant operations in Australia and New Zealand, specializing in a wide range of commercial and business insurance products offered through broker networks. In 2014, Insurance Australia Group (IAG) completed the acquisition of the Wesfarmers insurance underwriting business, which included the Lumley brand. Since the acquisition, the Lumley business and its portfolios have been fully integrated into IAG's existing brands. For instance, in New Zealand, Lumley's operations were merged into NZI, another IAG-owned brand, to create one of the country's largest commercial insurance providers.
