Founded in 1905, The Lorain National Bank (LNB) was a community-focused financial institution headquartered in Lorain, Ohio. For over a century, it provided a comprehensive range of banking, trust, and investment services to individuals and businesses throughout Lorain County and the surrounding region. As a subsidiary of LNB Bancorp, Inc., the bank was known for its local decision-making and commitment to the community. In 2015, LNB Bancorp, Inc. was acquired by Northwest Bancshares, Inc., and The Lorain National Bank was subsequently merged into Northwest Bank. All LNB branches were rebranded as Northwest Bank locations, and the Lorain National Bank charter was retired.
