The Local Climate Banks Working Group is not a standalone company but rather an initiative launched in May 2024 by the non-profit organization Coalition for Green Capital (CGC). Its mission is to unite local public, quasi-public, and non-profit green banks and emerging green-lending institutions across the United States. The group serves as a platform for members to share best practices, collaborate on challenges, and receive targeted technical assistance to effectively deploy capital for clean energy and climate resilience projects, particularly in low-income and disadvantaged communities.
