Founded in 1996 by Lithuania's major commercial banks (including SEB, Swedbank, and Luminor Bank), the Lithuanian Financial Markets Institute (LFMI) is a non-profit public institution. Its primary mission is to foster the development of the Lithuanian financial markets. The institute achieves this by raising the qualifications and ethical standards of financial sector specialists through professional training, examinations, and certification programs. Additionally, LFMI works to improve the financial literacy of the general public and serves as a key forum for discussion and collaboration among financial market participants.
