The company's comprehensive platform helped corporations, travel management companies, and hotels manage transient hotel programs, meetings, and events. Throughout its history, Lanyon grew both organically and through strategic acquisitions, including Passkey and GenieConnect. In 2016, Lanyon was acquired by Vista Equity Partners and subsequently merged with Cvent, creating a global leader in the meetings and events technology landscape. The Lanyon brand has since been consolidated into the Cvent brand.
