Kredyt Bank

Information by Research Trustfinance

Founded in 1990, Kredyt Bank was one of the first privately-owned banks established in Poland after the fall of communism. It grew to become a significant player in the Polish banking sector, offering a wide range of services to both retail and corporate clients, including deposits, loans, mortgages, and investment products. The bank was listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. In 2012, its majority shareholder, the Belgian KBC Group, sold its stake to Spain's Santander Group. On January 4, 2013, Kredyt Bank was legally merged with Bank Zachodni WBK (also owned by Santander), and its operations and brand were absorbed into the merged entity, which now operates as Santander Bank Polska.
