The Korea Exchange (KRX) was established in 2005 through the consolidation of the Korea Stock Exchange, the Korea Futures Exchange, and the KOSDAQ Stock Market. As the sole operator of securities and derivatives markets in South Korea, its mission is to provide a reliable and efficient capital market infrastructure. KRX operates several major markets, including the main board KOSPI Market, the tech-heavy KOSDAQ Market, and the KONEX Market for SMEs, facilitating the trading of stocks, bonds, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and various derivatives.
