Founded in 2014, Jupiter Resources Inc. was a Calgary-based public energy company that concentrated its operations on the acquisition, development, and production of oil and natural gas reserves in the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin. The company's primary focus was on the liquids-rich natural gas Montney resource play in the Deep Basin of northwest Alberta. On June 16, 2020, Jupiter Resources was officially acquired by Tourmaline Oil Corp., another major Canadian energy producer, and ceased to operate as an independent entity.
