Founded in 1957, Jefferson County Teachers Credit Union (JCTFCU) was a non-profit, member-owned financial institution dedicated to serving the financial needs of educators and their families in Jefferson County, Alabama. As a credit union, its mission was to provide competitive financial services, including savings, checking, and loan products, with a focus on member service and community values. In 2015, JCTFCU merged with Alabama Telco Credit Union. The combined entity was rebranded as Avadian Credit Union, which continues to operate and expand on the original mission, serving a broader field of membership across Alabama.
