Established in 2021 by a group of European institutional investors, Investors for Paris Compliance (I4PC) is an initiative that holds corporations accountable for their climate lobbying activities. Its primary mission is to assess whether a company's lobbying, both direct and indirect through trade associations, is aligned with the goals of the Paris Agreement. I4PC develops and publishes detailed assessments of companies' climate policy engagement and provides a clear framework for the steps they must take to ensure their lobbying practices support efforts to limit global warming to 1.5°C. The initiative engages directly with companies to drive change and provides valuable data for investors to use in their stewardship and investment decisions.
