The Conférence Interafricaine de la Prévoyance Sociale (CIPRES) was established by treaty in 1993 as an integrated supervisory body for social security organizations in its member states. Its primary mission is to promote social welfare by ensuring the proper governance and financial sustainability of national social security funds, including pension schemes and occupational risk coverage. CIPRES sets common management rules, implements a regional supervisory plan, and provides technical support and training to social security institutions to enhance their performance and reliability.
