Originally chartered in 1957 as Plaquemines Parish Teachers’ Credit Union, the institution rebranded to Instep Credit Union in 2021 after expanding its field of membership. As a not-for-profit financial institution, it is owned and operated by its members. Its mission is to provide affordable financial services, including savings and checking accounts, various loan types (auto, personal, mortgage), and credit cards, with profits being returned to members in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings rates, and fewer fees.
