The Interactive Financial Exchange (IFX) Forum was an international non-profit consortium of financial services companies, software vendors, and industry experts. Its mission was to develop and promote the adoption of a single, interoperable, and well-defined XML-based standard (IFX) for the electronic exchange of financial data and instructions. The forum's work aimed to simplify systems integration within and between financial institutions, their customers, and their service providers. In 2016, the IFX Forum merged with the Banking Industry Architecture Network (BIAN) to combine their respective strengths and create a more comprehensive set of standards for the global banking industry.
