Founded in 1983, the bank focused on providing a full suite of banking services to small-to-medium-sized businesses, entrepreneurs, professionals, and high-net-worth individuals. Its services included commercial and industrial loans, real estate lending, and various deposit products. In a deal announced in 2017 and completed on March 30, 2018, Independent Bank was acquired by First Foundation Inc. and merged into its subsidiary, First Foundation Bank.
