Heritage Southeast Bank was the operating name for Heritage Southeast Bancorporation, Inc., a bank holding company headquartered in Jonesboro, Georgia. It was formed through the strategic merger of several community banks, including Heritage Bank, The Heritage Bank, and Providence Bank, to create a stronger regional institution. The bank focused on serving the financial needs of individuals and small-to-medium-sized businesses in the metro Atlanta area, Southeast Georgia, and Northeast Florida. In May 2022, First Bancorp announced its acquisition of Heritage Southeast Bancorporation, Inc. The merger was completed in January 2023, and all Heritage Southeast Bank branches were subsequently rebranded as First Bank.
