green deal finance
Information by Research TrustFinance
The Green Deal Finance Company (GDFC) was established to finance the UK Government's 'Green Deal' scheme, which aimed to help people install energy-efficient improvements in their homes and businesses. Initially a government-backed entity, it was acquired in 2017 by private investors Greenstone Finance and Aurium Capital Markets. GDFC's core mission is to provide accessible, long-term loans for green home improvements, with repayments collected through energy bills. Although the original government scheme closed to new applications in 2015, GDFC continues to manage the existing loan book and offer finance through accredited providers.
