Originally founded as Green Bank, N.A. in Houston, the company grew into a significant Texas-based commercial bank focused on serving small to mid-sized businesses and individuals. In 2019, Green Bancorp, Inc., the parent company of Green Bank, was acquired by Veritex Holdings, Inc. and the bank was subsequently merged into Veritex Community Bank. Today, the Green Bank brand operates as a division of Veritex, continuing its mission of relationship-based community banking in the Houston, Dallas, and Austin metropolitan areas.
