Getin Noble Bank S.A. was a major Polish bank, listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, that offered a wide range of retail, private, and business banking services, including accounts, loans, mortgages, and investment products. Formed from the merger of Getin Bank and Noble Bank, it became one of the largest locally-owned banks in Poland. However, following a significant deterioration of its financial standing, Poland's Bank Guarantee Fund (BFG) initiated a compulsory resolution process on September 30, 2022, to protect depositors. The core banking activities, assets, and liabilities were transferred to a new bridge institution, VeloBank S.A., while the original Getin Noble Bank S.A. entity remains to handle residual assets and legal claims.
