Geoban was established by Santander Group as a specialized company to centralize and manage a wide range of operational and technological services for the bank's global network. Its core mission was to improve efficiency, standardize processes, and implement technological innovations across the group. Services included payment processing, account management, fraud prevention, IT infrastructure management, and software development. Over time, as part of Santander's strategy to fully integrate its support functions, Geoban's operations and staff were absorbed directly into the parent company's divisions, primarily Santander Global Technology & Operations (SGTO), and the Geoban brand was phased out.
