Through its well-known retail brands, primarily Forex.com and City Index, it offered individuals access to over-the-counter financial markets, including forex, indices, commodities, and cryptocurrencies via CFDs. The company also operated an institutional ECN business, GTX. GAIN Capital was a publicly-traded company on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE: GCAP) until its acquisition by StoneX Group Inc. (NASDAQ: SNEX) for approximately $236 million, a deal that was finalized in July 2020.
