Funding London
Information by Research TrustFinance
Established in 2004, Funding London is a public-private partnership dedicated to supporting London's economic growth by providing venture capital to promising startups and small-to-medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Acting as the Mayor of London's venture capital arm, it does not invest directly into companies. Instead, it manages several investment funds, such as the London Co-investment Fund (LCIF) and the Greater London Investment Fund (GLIF), by raising capital from public and private partners and investing it in experienced venture capital fund managers who then support early-stage businesses. Its core mission is to fill the funding gap for innovative companies in sectors like technology, science, and digital, fostering job creation and innovation within London.
