Fundación para el Desarrollo de las Microfinanzas (FUDEM) is a private, non-profit organization established in El Salvador in 1990. Its primary mission is to foster the economic and social development of the country by offering specialized financial products, such as microcredits, and non-financial services, including training and technical assistance. FUDEM focuses on empowering micro and small entrepreneurs, particularly those in vulnerable sectors, to help them grow their businesses, generate employment, and improve their overall quality of life. The foundation operates under the supervision of El Salvador's Superintendencia del Sistema Financiero (SSF).
