The company's core mission was to help insurers improve underwriting profitability, scalability, and efficiency through its software suite, which included the FirstBest UMS, Underwriter Workstation, and Agent Portal. In August 2016, FirstBest was acquired by Guidewire Software, a leading provider of software for the P&C industry. Following the acquisition, FirstBest's technology and approximately 70 employees were integrated into Guidewire's InsurancePlatform™ to enhance its underwriting and policy administration capabilities.
