Finantsinspektsioon is an autonomous government agency with a separate budget, established in 2002. It supervises banks, insurers, insurance intermediaries, investment firms, management companies, and creditors operating in Estonia. The authority is also responsible for financial crisis resolution, working to protect the interests of clients, investors, and the insured, while supporting the stability of the financial system and public trust in it.
