Financiera Confianza S.A.A. was a leading entity in the Peruvian microfinance sector and part of the BBVA Microfinance Foundation. It was formed from the merger of Caja Rural de Ahorro y Crédito Nor Perú and Caja Nuestra Gente. The company's mission was to promote the sustainable economic and social development of vulnerable and low-income entrepreneurs by providing them with access to credit, savings, insurance, and other financial services. In 2018, Financiera Confianza was absorbed by Mibanco, another major microfinance bank in Peru, in a merger designed to create a larger, more robust institution to better serve the country's micro and small business segment.
