The Financial Counsellors' Association of NSW (FCAN) is a non-profit, professional association established in 1983. Its mission is to support its members—financial counsellors who provide free, independent, and confidential services to people experiencing financial hardship. FCAN advocates for social justice and policy reform, provides professional development and supervision for its members, and works to maintain high standards of practice to ensure vulnerable consumers receive quality assistance.
