FinNexus was a decentralized finance (DeFi) protocol built on multiple blockchains, including Ethereum and Wanchain. Its mission was to create an open finance hub by providing tools and protocols for users to create and trade a wide range of crypto-asset derivatives, with a particular focus on decentralized options. The project aimed to bridge the gap between centralized and decentralized financial systems. However, following significant security exploits and a strategic reassessment by the team, it was officially announced in April 2021 that the FinNexus Protocol for Options (FPO) would be terminated and gradually shut down.
