Established under the Ministry of Economy of Guatemala, the Fideicomiso para el Desarrollo de la Micro, Pequeña y Mediana Empresa is a state-managed trust fund. Its primary mission is to facilitate access to financing for SMEs, which are considered a vital engine for the nation's economy. The trust works to strengthen the business ecosystem by providing credit, guarantees, and other financial products, often in partnership with other financial institutions, to foster growth, innovation, and job creation within the Guatemalan local economy.
