Originally founded by Graham Tuckwell, ETF Securities was a pioneer in the global ETF industry, known for launching the world's first gold-backed exchange-traded commodity. Between 2017 and 2018, the company sold its various ETF issuance businesses to other major asset managers. Following these sales, Tuckwell established ETFS Capital as a private strategic investment company. ETFS Capital leverages its deep industry expertise to invest in and support the growth of companies operating within the ETF ecosystem, including ETF sponsors, index providers, and related technology and service firms, as well as opportunities in the digital asset space.
