The Equator Principles Association is the governing body for the Equator Principles (EPs), a globally recognized risk management framework. Launched in 2003, the EPs are adopted by financial institutions for determining, assessing, and managing environmental and social risks in large-scale infrastructure and industrial projects. The Association's mission is to provide a common baseline and framework for the financial industry to manage these risks responsibly. It is comprised of member financial institutions (known as EPFIs) who commit to implementing the EPs in their internal policies and procedures.
