Originally founded as EPAG Domainservices GmbH in Bonn, Germany, EPAG was an ICANN-accredited registrar providing domain names, SSL certificates, and hosting services primarily for resellers. Despite some public profiles using the name "Electronic Payment Advisory Group," the company's core business has always been in the domain and web services industry, not financial advisory or payments. EPAG was acquired by Tucows in 2012 and subsequently became part of the CentralNic Group. Today, its operations and services are fully integrated into the CentralNic Reseller platform, which offers a white-label solution for businesses to sell domain names and related products.
