Energy Improvement Corporation (EIC) is a non-profit organization established to advance a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future in New York State. Its primary function is to administer the Energize NY PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy) program, which provides low-cost, long-term financing to commercial, non-profit, and multifamily property owners for energy efficiency upgrades and renewable energy projects. By allowing property owners to repay the financing through a special assessment on their property tax bill, EIC helps overcome the upfront cost barriers to implementing clean energy solutions, thereby stimulating local economic development and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
