EISS Super (Energy Industries Superannuation Scheme) was an Australian superannuation fund founded in 1997 to manage the retirement savings for workers in the energy and electrical industries. As a member-owned industry fund, its mission was to provide strong investment returns and insurance benefits to its members. Following a period of underperformance and scrutiny from the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA), EISS Super entered into a merger agreement with the larger industry fund, Cbus Super. The merger was completed on May 12, 2023, with all EISS Super accounts being transferred to Cbus Super, aiming to provide members with benefits of greater scale, lower fees, and improved services.
