Founded in 2003 by Dr. Sandy Nairn, Edinburgh Partners was a boutique asset management firm based in Edinburgh, Scotland. The company was renowned for its deep, fundamental research and a long-term, value-oriented investment philosophy, managing global and emerging market equity portfolios primarily for institutional clients. In 2018, the firm was acquired by Legg Mason and, following the acquisition of Legg Mason by Franklin Templeton in July 2020, the Edinburgh Partners investment team and strategies were fully integrated into Martin Currie, another specialist investment manager within the Franklin Templeton group.
