Founded in 1991 by William Eckhardt, a renowned mathematician and pioneer in systematic trading, Eckhardt Trading Company (ETC) was a prominent Commodity Trading Advisor (CTA) and Commodity Pool Operator (CPO). The firm was known for its rigorous quantitative research and its application of scientific principles to trading global futures and foreign exchange markets. ETC managed funds for an international client base of institutional and high-net-worth investors. After over three decades of operation, the firm ceased its trading operations and began the process of closing down in early 2023.
