Founded in 1955 as the New Castle Chrysler Employees Federal Credit Union, the institution has since expanded its charter to serve a broader community. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, Eastern Indiana Federal Credit Union is owned and operated by its members. Its mission is to provide affordable financial services to its member-owners, with profits being returned to them in the form of lower loan rates, higher savings rates, and fewer fees.
