Established in 2013, the East Africa Exchange (EAX) is a regional commodity exchange based in Rwanda. Its mission is to create a more efficient, transparent, and profitable agricultural sector in East Africa by providing a structured marketplace. EAX offers a comprehensive suite of services including a trading platform, a warehouse receipt system, clearing and settlement, and market information services, which collectively help connect farmers, traders, and investors, thereby improving food security and the livelihoods of smallholder farmers.
