Originally a program of Save the Children International operating in Myanmar since 2002, Early Dawn Microfinance Company Ltd. (DAWN) was registered as a standalone company in 2015. It is one of the earliest microfinance institutions in the country, dedicated to empowering low-income families and small business owners. DAWN's mission is to provide accessible and sustainable financial services, including group-guaranteed loans, individual business loans, and SME loans, to foster economic growth and improve livelihoods, particularly for women. The company is regulated by the Financial Regulatory Department (FRD) of the Ministry of Planning and Finance of Myanmar.
