Originally chartered in 1959 as Wyomissing Federal Credit Union to serve the employees of The Beryllium Corporation, the institution has since expanded its field of membership. Now known as Discovery Federal Credit Union, it is a community-chartered credit union offering a full range of financial services to anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Berks County, Pennsylvania. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, its mission is to be a trusted financial partner, returning profits to its members through better rates and lower fees.
