Founded in 1963 as the Dayton-Walther Employee Scioto County Federal Credit Union, the institution was originally established to serve the employees of the Dayton-Walther Corporation. After a merger in 1983, it adopted the name Desco Federal Credit Union. As a not-for-profit financial cooperative, its mission is to serve as the primary financial institution for its members by offering a full range of personal financial services, including savings and checking accounts, loans, and digital banking, while returning profits to members in the form of lower loan rates and higher savings yields.
