Founded in 1943 as the State House Credit Union, the Credit Union of New Jersey was initially established to serve New Jersey State Employees. As a not-for-profit, member-owned financial cooperative, it has since expanded its field of membership. The institution's mission is to provide the best possible experience to its members by putting them first in all its operations.
