Originally founded in 2008, Cortland Capital Market Services LLC was an independent investment servicing company specializing in fund administration, credit services, and securitization for private equity funds, real estate funds, private credit managers, and CLO managers. Known for its high-touch service model and expertise in complex credit strategies, Cortland grew significantly before being acquired by Alter Domus, a global leader in integrated solutions for the alternative investment industry, in November 2018. The acquisition expanded Alter Domus's capabilities and presence in the U.S. market, and the Cortland brand has since been consolidated under the Alter Domus name.
