Founded in 1906 in Udupi, Karnataka, Corporation Bank had a long history of serving the Indian public. It was nationalized by the Government of India in 1980 and grew to become a prominent public sector bank with a nationwide network of branches and ATMs. The bank offered a comprehensive suite of products including savings accounts, loans, credit cards, investments, and corporate banking solutions. On April 1, 2020, as part of a government-led consolidation of public sector banks, Corporation Bank, along with Andhra Bank, was amalgamated into Union Bank of India. All its branches and operations now function under the Union Bank of India brand.
