CommunityOne Bank
Information by Research Trustfinance
Originally founded in 1907 as the First National Bank of Asheboro, the institution grew through various acquisitions over the decades. In 2011, it rebranded as CommunityOne Bank to reflect its commitment to the local communities it served across central and western North Carolina. The bank provided traditional banking products, including personal and business checking/savings accounts, mortgages, commercial loans, and wealth management services. In 2016, CommunityOne was acquired by Capital Bank Financial Corp., and its branches were converted to the Capital Bank brand. Capital Bank later merged with First Horizon National Corp., and all branches now operate under the First Horizon Bank name.
